 POLICING IN RUSTINGTON

Our local Police Community Support Officers (PCSO's) are

Lee Matthews & Hannah Pearson

Police Community Support Officer Lee Matthews

"We are Rustington's Police Community Support Officers. We presently work out of Littlehampton Police Station but can be found in Rustington Village most days of the week. We are part of a Neighbourhood Policing Team for Arun and East Littlehampton. We spend most of our time out on patrol, usually on foot but often on a bicycle. Our main duties are to provide high-visibility and a reassuring presence in Rustington. We also deal with incidents of disorder, nuisance and anti-social behaviour in the area, speaking to people who might be drunk and causing problems, confiscating alcohol and tobacco, if necessary.

We also deal with community issues such as problem parking and neighbour disputes in
Rustington. We attend all monthly Parish Meetings and have set up a variety of different
community meetings which we attend. We work closely with the three Primary Schools in Rustington and often attend and assist at the local youth club. We are available for any related issue if should you need us. Please contact either of us via the Sussex Police Website (please follow the link on this site). Also see the information regarding monthly surgeries. We look forward to seeing you around the village. Please feel free to come up and chat when you see us.

The Rustington Area falls under the Littlehampton Neighbourhood Policing Team which covers from Ferring over to Eastergate. Working out of Littlehampton Police Station, the team consists of 14 full time PCSO's and 1 part time PCSO. The team also consists of 9 Police Constables, 3 Sergeants and 1 Inspector. Rustington is also covered by quick response officers controlled by the 999 service and CID and other resources based in Littlehampton and other centres.
