
Power of Well-Being
At its Monthly Meeting held on 22 March 2010, having fulfilled the criteria required to enable Parish Councils to adopt the Power of Well-Being, passed the following Resolution:-
"In accordance with Section 77 of the Local Government and Public
Involvement in Health 2007 Act (the 2007 Act) which amended the Local Government
Act 2000 to extend the Power of Well-Being to “eligible Parish Councils,’ and in accordance with the Parish Councils (Power to Promote Well-Being) (Prescribed Conditions) Order 2008/3095 (the 2008 Order), the Council now ADOPTS the Power of Well-Being, having fulfilled the required criteria.”
Rustington Parish Council has :-
• a Qualified Clerk (AQA Certificate in Local Council Administration,
with the
addition of Section 7 on the Power of Well-Being)
• 100% of vacancies on the Council filled at the last Ordinary Elections
• over 80% of Councillors trained in the use of the Well-Being Power
• published a Statement of Intent as to Community Engagement
