Since purchasing Church Farm Cottage in 2005, it has taken the Parish Council almost four years to get to this point. The first phase of the Project was the complete renovation of the Grade II Listed Cottage, which included a new thatched roof, the introduction of damp proofing, the installation of a lift and a new staircase, to mention just a small number of the improvements made. This phase was completed in April 2008.
The Cottage has provided a rare but welcome opportunity for the Parish Council to bring back into use an important historic building, and to conserve the heritage of the Village.
The second phase of the Project has seen a timber framed building constructed in the rear garden of the Cottage, to house The Garden Café, together with the landscaping of the communal gardens.
The Opening Times for both the Museum and The Garden Café will be as follows:-
Monday - Closed Tuesday - Saturday - 10.00 am – 4.00 pm Sunday - Closed
Please try to make time to visit the Museum and then enjoy a freshly made Tea or Coffee with a slice of homemade Cake – You won’t be able to help but enjoy the experience!
