John was elected to the Parish Council and is now serving his third 4-year term. This is his tenth year as Vice-Chairman of the Rustington and East Preston R.N.L.I., as well as being the Souvenir Secretary. He was, until recently, Vice-Chairman of East Rustington Conservative Association Fundraising Committee. He has lived in Rustington for over twenty years and is married to Evelyn, who also serves on the R.N.L.I. Committee, the Women’s Fellowship at the United Reformed Church and is a member of the Trefoil Guild. In fact, John was presented with a Bronze Badge in recognition of his valuable support of the Lifeboat Service for twenty five years, in January 2010.

Before his retirement, John was a Project Manager in the Oil Industry.
